Help Our Brave 6-Year-Old Daughter Violet Fight Leukemia

Donation protected
Just under two weeks ago, our lives were turned upside down. Our beautiful, brave six-year-old daughter Violet was suddenly diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)—an aggressive and fast-moving form of childhood cancer.

It all started with subtle signs. She looked pale. She began asking for breaks when walking short distances—something she had never done before. During what should have been a fun weekend getaway with our family, we noticed how much more tired she seemed. She refused to walk and had to be carried everywhere. She didn’t want to play with her cousins; she just sat quietly, exhausted and withdrawn. That’s when we knew something wasn’t right.

After returning home, we took her to her primary care doctor. He immediately ordered bloodwork. Minutes after the results came in, we were told to rush her to the Children’s Hospital for a blood transfusion. We didn’t wait long in the ER before doctors delivered the news we never imagined hearing: *your daughter has cancer*. Within 24 hours, she was in surgery to have a port placed in her chest so that chemotherapy could begin right away.

Since that day, everything has moved at a breakneck pace. Chemotherapy started immediately, and we’ve been in the hospital and at outpatient clinics ever since, navigating a whirlwind of tests, transfusions, and difficult decisions.

Right now, it’s hard to believe this is all happening. On the outside, she looks like a normal child—but she is tired, fragile, and battling a hidden illness inside her body. The chemo is already coursing through her, working to save her life, but also leaving her body weakened. Soon, we know the visible signs will appear—she will lose her hair, grow weaker, and face the toll of her treatments. But we are standing strong with her, every step of the way.

We also have other children who need us at home, and we’re trying to balance it all, but we are stretched beyond what we ever imagined.

Though we’ve received an outpouring of support from our family and friends, we’re unsure exactly how others can help. We’re navigating uncharted waters, and we truly appreciate every offer to help—it’s comforting to know people are there for us. Right now, the most helpful thing you can do is share our story. If you’re able to spread the word about our GoFundMe campaign, it can help more people learn about our daughter’s journey and increase our chances of receiving the support we need.

Every donation—no matter how small—will go toward:

* Medical and treatment-related expenses
* Medications and care not fully covered by insurance
* Lost income as we focus on her healing
* Basic household needs and support for our other children

However, we understand that not everyone is in a position to donate. If you’re unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing our campaign with your friends and family. Simply getting the word out can make a world of difference to us. Every share means more people who know about her journey, and that increases our chance of receiving the support we need.

She is already showing incredible bravery and resilience. We are heartbroken, overwhelmed, and exhausted, but we are determined to walk through this with her—every single step.

If you’re able to donate, share, or simply keep our family in your thoughts, we are deeply grateful. Your support truly means the world to us right now.
