Our beloved Sr Kathy has been in and out of the hospital for much of last year and is due for another surgery in the coming weeks. We are raising funds to assist her in paying her medical bills and to cover the costs of prescription drugs which run about $90/day. Our initial target is set for $8,000. For those who do not know, Sister Kathleen Al-Jallad converted to Islam 28 years ago, after her search for the truth. She founded the Words of Wisdom Library at the IOST, which has over 5,000 titles. She has been a member of the Islamic Organization of the Southern Tier for more than 25 years and has done so much for our community. Currently, she is in the hospital as her health has deteriorated considerably.
