Help Our Beloved One-2-One Bar Family

Dear friends, musicians and patrons of One-2-One Bar (Austin, TX),
We are in a devastating time right now for the entertainment sector, honestly all of us are hurting and scared. I wanted to start this GoFundMe for One-2-One Bar for so many reasons. As of today at noon, all bars and restaurants are ordered to close down. That includes music venues.
I have known Gregg and Destinee (owners of One-2-One) for a long time now and I have witnessed SO many ways that they help the community. Being a musician myself, they have given me, my band and countless other bands a home, a place to play an incredible show, with incredible sound and a fabulous staff. It's the kind of club you can ACTUALLY make money at as a musician.
Not only that, but they host the Austin Musician Artists Market, which gives musicians that are creative artists outside of music a place to show and sell our art/jewelry/photography etc. They never take a penny from any of our sales.
They host NUMEROUS benefit shows that raise money for all kinds of worthy causes, sometimes opening their doors on what would be their only day off so that events can happen.
This virus has us all wondering how long things will be like this. Last night (3/16) Gregg and Destinee had to lay off their staff. These are people that are like family, as it is in many clubs around town. Getting unemployment is difficult and will never be as much as their normal earnings.
I thought to myself to start a GoFundMe. I spoke on the phone with them and all they want at this point is to take care of the staff they had to let go. I want more than that for them, but that is how humble they are. I want to make sure they are able to reopen so that WE (the music community) have a place to play, earn money, sound great, create community, gather and love on each other when all of this subsides.
This is for one club in Austin. There are SO MANY DESERVING places to support right now. I encourage people to do similar things for those other places. I am just in charge of this one.
I believe that we can make a big difference right now. I believe they are worth it, and as a major player in the live club scene of Austin, TX, we owe it to ourselves to keep it going and help their employees that have helped us all of these years.
Any amount helps. As I said before, right now funds will be directed toward staff. If we raise enough we can help ensure that the club will be there when our lives start to get back to normal.
