Help Our Beloved Koko Overcome Cancer

Hello & Happy 2025 everyone,

My name is Shakira, I currently reside in the Baltimore area with my beautiful daughter, Aaliyah, (a senior in high school and an avid Lacrosse player for Harlem Lacrosse) along with our two adorable little fur babies, Lizzie (she’s a 6 year old Shorkie) & Koko (she’s a 5 year old Yorki-Poo) & my reason for this fundraising campaign!

Koko came to us at just a year old, she was very timid and in need of a loving and caring FURever family! She has blossomed into a very sweet and outgoing little girl who knows that she is loved beyond what words can convey! About 3 months ago Koko developed a small mass around one of her nipples, within a month it nearly doubled in size! Koko was subsequently diagnosed with breast cancer! Today, the mass has nearly quadrupled in size and I can tell that it is getting more and more difficult for her to do things like walking up and down the stairs (her equilibrium seems to be very much affected causing her to lose her balance and footing when trying to get up and down stairs) and task like jumping onto the ottoman that I bought for the foot of my high poster bed which made it easier for her to get onto the bed, obliterating the need for both her and Lizzie to have to jump so high, used to come so naturally but now have become more and more difficult for her to do!

So, it is with a very humble heart that I ask you to find it in your heart, to help get Koko the necessary veterinary care and treatment needed to include office visit, surgery to remove the cancer, anesthesia surgical aftercare, pain medication and therapeutic follow up care that Koko will need in order for her to get back to being the charismatic and outgoing little girl that she was just a few short months ago!
