Help Our Beloved Joan Get the Surgery She Desperately Needs.

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My name is Joan Rosemarie Kettle, and I’m reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your support during a very difficult time in my life.

Since October of last year, I have been struggling with a serious circulation problem in both of my legs. The condition has left me unable to walk, and I’ve suffered painful and frightening

episodes where my legs began to bleed due to the breakdown of the skin. After visiting a doctor, I was diagnosed with severe venous insufficiency poor blood flow caused by blocked veins. This condition led to infected ulcers, and even when they begin to heal, they reopen again because of the poor circulation.

I was referred to the Doctor Vein Centre of Jamaica, where a specialist conducted an ultrasound and confirmed that the veins in my legs are so blocked that blood can flow down but cannot return properly to the heart. This is why my condition keeps recurring. The only way to stop this painful cycle and regain my ability to walk is through a surgery called Venous Ablation.

The cost of the surgery is $475,000 JMD, and unfortunately, I do not have the means to cover it on my own. Without this procedure, my condition will continue to worsen, and I fear further complications that could affect not just my legs, but my life.
