Please help me to support my wonderful, long-term (20+ years) dog walker, who has been hit by a series of disasters, which have left her homeless and impaired her ability to work. For the past two years, she has lived in a home needing significant repairs. Her car is in disrepair—including missing a driver’s side window. Her health is precarious: she suffers from diabetes, neuropathy, and intermittent vertigo. She was suffering, but still managing, until two weeks ago, when disaster struck her home: A pipe (source still undetermined) poured water into her basement while she slept, destroying the electrical panel, and making her house uninhabitable.

She is waiting to learn what exactly the needed repairs will cost and what her insurance will cover. In the meantime, my husband and I have been paying for her to live in an Airbnb in a neighboring town. But we are hoping that through GoFundMe, we can raise some funds to help tide her over while she waits for her insurance and for repairs to be made on her home and car.

She is an extraordinarily kind, generous person—dependable, dedicated, hard-working, and, sadly, very unlucky. She is absolutely devoted to my family’s Australian Labradoodle, my neighbor’s Standard Poodle, and another family’s Bernedoodle. She stays in our homes when we travel and is totally responsible and reliable. Our dogs adore her!
