Hello friends,

My name is Alla, my son's name is Alex and this is our beloved cat Maria. She is 10 years old and now we really need your help to save the cat.

Recently Maria was diagnosed with cancer. There was a shock for all of us. Maria grew up with my son. They are the same age. She helped raise my son.

She is the best cat I've ever known. She is very kind and calm. She is so curious about everything that happens around her! We brought her (and two other our cats) to Canada 1.5 years ago. It was very hard financially. I paid about $ 3000 for the transportation, but I couldn't imagine living without them, without Maria.

All our three cats were saved from the street (I have been saving animals from the street the whole my life). These cats helped us to go through the hardest time. I can say that they helped me survive during a lot of hardships. Especially Maria. She could just lie with me on the couch and I felt better. And now I have to help her...

Everything was fine till the last week. Maria ate, played, jumped. I was thinking of buying insurance for my cats and bringing them to the doctor for a check-up. They found a mass in her stomach. The doctor took some tests. We paid around $ 500 for them. Yesterday I received the results - cancer. I cried a lot. Today I have a consultation with the doctor. They said that Maria could recover but needed surgery - $2500 (plus X-ray $300, blood test $350, ultrasounds, $650, probably biopsy and post-operation care). In total, it's going to be around $ 4000. I would give all my money for my cats. But this sum is too large for me and my son. We just don't have this money.

I've been helping animal shelters and people who save homeless and injured animals for many years. And will do that all the time. My son loves animals and nature so much! He has become a guy whose goal is to protect nature.
