Help our Beau Get Back on His Feet

Hello everyone!

In January of 2024, my sisters and I were blessed with our now 15 month old Pit/Staffie mix Beau. We all attend Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona and had the opportunity to adopt Beau as a gift to my parents (his breed being my dads dream dog) and surprise them with him a month later. After the passing of our childhood pup, Bruno, our dog Nova needed a friend around the house with my sisters and I away for college.

Beau has been a bundle of joy and an answered prayer. We were able to raise him together for a month in Arizona and then he traveled to his new home in Pittsburgh where he is loved by my parents and missed by my sisters and me.

Unfortunately, Beau recently started to have a hard time walking and holding up his own weight. He has always been an active pup so this alone raised a lot of concern for my parents. After a visit to the vet, my parents received the news that Beau would need surgery on both of his knees to repair torn ligaments which is common in his breed, but devastating news nonetheless as we hate to see our boy in pain.

With my sister and I graduating next month, I wanted to make a GoFundMe in hopes to alleviate the financial burden the surgery may impose on my family.
