Paso Robles Elks Lodge Closure - Help our Bartenders

The Paso Robles Elks Lodge, including the members' social quarters, will be closed from May 1, 2025, through May 15, 2025, to perform long overdue maintenance needs to the facility. The social quarters closure directly impacts the livelihood of our amazing five bartenders: Brittany, Dawn, Delores, Sonya, and Sue Lynn, who will be affected by the closure with the loss of income from tips during that time. Although each will have the option to either work hours during the closure helping with maintenance of the facility or to seek unemployment funds, it is not likely their true income will be met because of the loss of the daily tips they receive from their service to each of us when we are in the social quarters.

With that in mind, the lodge is conducting this fundraiser in an effort to support and supplement Brittany, Dawn, Delores, Sonya, and Sue Lynn's lost income during the closure with a donation to each of them. The current pay period runs from April 28, 2025, through May 11, 2025, with paychecks thereafter issued. The plan is to split equally among the five bartenders any funds raised from now through the end of the day on May 11, 2025, and have those funds disseminated to each at the same time payroll checks are cut. These funds would not be included in their payroll or considered pay but considered a donation from the members of the lodge to each of them. There would then be a second cycle from May 12, 2025, through May 15, 2025, and any funds collected during that time period would be disseminated to them in line with the payroll run for that pay period.

All funds donated, minus any service fees that GoFundMe takes off the top, would be accepted from GoFundMe by our lodge into the lodge bank account. None of the funds that are donated will be kept by the lodge itself. A full accounting will be presented to the lodge at the conclusion of the fundraiser for our bartenders.
