Help Our Baby Nuggs Overcome Her Injuries
Donation protected
It was a morning just like any other. We were taking our beloved dogs, Nuggs and Bebe, out for their usual bathroom break before starting the day — something we’ve done countless times. But within seconds, our world turned upside down.
At around 4:30 a.m. on June 30th, a coyote hiding in the bushes lunged out and grabbed Nuggs by the neck. Before we could even process what was happening, the coyote was running off into the darkness with our sweet Nuggs dangling from its mouth.
We ran through the entire apartment complex, screaming, chasing, desperate to get her back. For a moment, we lost sight of them — and in that moment, the fear that we had lost her forever was unbearable.
But by some miracle, God had other plans.
We found Nuggs. She had been dropped and was running, terrified and wounded. We were able to scare off the coyote and scoop her up to safety. We rushed her to emergency care, where the vets began treating the deep wounds to her neck and body. She is now recovering from surgery and receiving ongoing medical care. It’s going to be a long road.
Nuggs is more than just a pet — she’s our baby, our shadow, our joy. She’s still so young and full of life, and we are beyond grateful for this second chance to be her fur parents.
The medical bills have been overwhelming, but we are doing everything we can to give her the care she deserves. If you feel moved to help, any donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward her recovery costs. And if you’re unable to donate, even sharing her story would mean the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Nuggs on her journey back to health. She is strong, she is a fighter, and she is so, so loved.
With gratitude,
