Help Our Auntie Neen after Cache Fire
We were told two months ago that our Aunties cancer is back and is spreading like “wildfire”. It’s all over her back, stomach, uterus and there is nothing they can do to rid her body of it. It’s untreatable and all we can do is keep her comfortable.
Hospice came in to assist quickly after.
Last night (August 18) she and her partner fled from their home as quickly as they could off of Dam Road in Lower Lake when sheriffs and fire fighters came to the door because of the Cache Fire.
They, like many, lost everything. They made it out with the clothes they wore, their dog, and the keys to the car.
Thankfully hospice brought her a new bed and other equipment.
We are hoping to raise some funds to help them settle in a home where she can be comfortable while suffering with her cancer. Her partner cares for her along with caregiver help.
With the expenses being so high in California, even in Clearlake, the family is seeking kind assistance to help them out. She never had her own children, but she helped raise us kids. We are doing everything we can to help them but it’s just not enough.
We know so many out there are struggling, it’s a rough world. We appreciate any help at all!
Thank you,
Jess Vallery and Dan Whitfield
