September 1st our 90 yr old grandmother Marge and many others lost their homes due to a devastating flash flood from Hurricane Ida. Our grandmother has lived in Lambertville a good portion of her life, she raised her family there, and worked at south side laundromat for many years. Our grandmother is an amazing woman, she didn’t have much but would give you what she could if you were hungry, cold, needed a place to stay etc. Unfortunately due to flooding she lost everything, from clothing to personal belongings, and sentimental pieces we unfortunately can not get back. Everything is gone. We salvaged the little things we could, but now she is in need of everything, from furniture to clothing. We need to find her an apartment without steps, a walker wheelchair among other things to help get her on her feet and back to her own home again. I know times are terribly tough especially with covid, but any bit would help get her back to having a home again we really appreciate it.
