Help Our 82-Year-Old Mom Heal After a Serious Fall

Dear Friends and Family,

I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for your support.

My beloved mother, who lives in Monclova, Mexico, and is 82 years old, recently suffered a serious fall that resulted in multiple injuries, including broken bones. To walk again, she will need several surgeries, including a hip replacement and treatments for her fractures.

In Mexico, the healthcare system is two-tiered. While public healthcare covers basic needs, it often reaches its limits when it comes to specialized care. We've now reached that point and are turning to private clinics for her treatment. So far, medical costs have already exceeded $30,000—and that doesn't include rehabilitation.

Despite everything, my mother’s spirit remains strong and full of light. She hasn’t complained once. Instead, she continues to smile and stay positive, just as she always has.

But the road ahead is long and delicate.

At her age, she urgently needs specialized care, including surgery and transport by ambulance to another city, followed by a lengthy recovery and rehabilitation period. She will need to temporarily relocate to receive the care she deserves.

My mom has always been fiercely independent—joyful, grateful, and full of life. She loves to dance, sing, tend to her plants, and spend time with her family. She still has so much to give. I truly believe she will dance again, and I dream of sharing that beautiful moment with her.

Unfortunately, the costs are mounting quickly. Between the surgeries, transportation, relocation, rehabilitation, and ongoing care, the financial burden has become overwhelming for me and my siblings. We're doing everything we can—but we need help.
