Our 5th grade book club is a special group of around 15 students who are passionate about reading and eager to explore new stories together. What makes our club unique is that it was initiated by one of our own 5th graders, who now serves as the President of the club. As their teacher, I am proud to support their enthusiasm and leadership as we work together to promote a love of reading in our classroom and beyond.

This month, our club has chosen to read 'The Baby-Sitters Club,' a beloved series that encourages friendship, responsibility, and imagination. To make this experience meaningful for everyone, we hope to provide each student with their own copy of the book. Having 15 copies means that every student can read at home, develop independent reading habits, and choose positive, productive activities outside of school. This not only builds confidence but also creates a sense of community and curiosity that will last a lifetime.
