Simba's story...

On September 1st 2011, our loving boy Simba was born, and through fate, was chosen to be a part of our family.

For almost a decade, Simba has brought us nothing but happiness and unconditional love, he has brought us closer as a family.
Sure he has his bad habits... For example when no one's looking, Simba used to like to sneak into the main bathroom, pull up the garbage and bury his nose in dirty toilet paper just to grab a whole bunch and chew it like gum. Once he got a good mouth full, he'd suspiciously walk over to us, hoping to get some sort of attention....Yeah...we are not shy to admit, being slick is not one of Simba's strong points! However, Simba has the most gentle and loving soul. No matter how much trouble or how much mischief he gets himself into, Simba knows that we can never stay mad at him for too long. When Simba looks at you with his big brown eyes, he immediately makes you forget what you were mad about to begin with. He even knows how to make you forget about your problems after a long day. Everyone who knows Simba, knows that he is a big teddy bear and is accepting and loving to everyone he comes in contact with.

On January 2nd 2021, Simba was rushed to the emergency room as he was not quite himself anymore. For several days, there was a dramatic change in his behaviour. He became incredibly lethargic, and almost seemed depressed. As Simba's usual self, he didn't complain, moan or cry, but we knew something was wrong.

Fast forward to Monday January 11, we discovered that Simba's prostate was 4 times the size of a regular one, and his bladder was severely enlarged. We immediately were told that Simba's bladder could explode and that his body is holding onto toxicity that is being distributed throughout his bloodstream. If these issues were not taken care of as soon as possible, it could eventually lead to death..

Simba is in desperate need of surgery to reduce the size of his prostate and bladder, check for potential cancer and to finally get...THE SNIP! ..This is to help reduce the access amount of testosterone. We need to do all that is necessary to get him back on his feet so he can live the remaining of his life happily and care free.

As we were hit with this information only recently, we were told that the estimation for his surgery and treatments is anything between $2000-$5000!!
With our current economic situation, we have found ourselves in a hole and are scrounging to find ways to help pay for his surgeries and treatments on time.

We ask all animal lovers and non animal lovers alike to please help Simba get back on his paws and to live the remaining of his life with his loving family because we are not ready to let go of him yet..

Any donation is more than appreciated!!!!
