On April 21, 2021 my 8 month old grand puppy Otto the Great Dane ate a whole bag of mouse poison. The poison was in a cupboard where no one thought he could reach it, but he’s a very tall pup. Otto spent 4 days at WVRC emergency animal hospital. He had his stomach pumped, received activated charcoal, was on IV fluids, and received numerous medications to combat the neurological symptoms he displayed such as loss of function in his back legs. The resulting bill was over $4000.
My son and his wife have two small children who adore Otto and their other dog, Buck. Buck also spent 2 days at WVRC on suspicion that he may have ingested the poison also, which resulted in another large vet bill. Buck is fine. And Otto will be okay after more recovery time at home.
Thanks for considering helping Otto. If you can’t help out financially, your continued prayers and love are also appreciated.
