We are completely overwhelmed by the love and support you’ve shown Rosco and Otto. Because of your generosity, we are about to reach our original $35,000 goal. We truly could not have done this without every person who donated, shared, commented, prayed, or helped spread their story.

Although we’re approaching our original goal, their journey isn’t completely over. Rosco may have diabetes, and both Rosco and Otto may require additional testing, treatment, medication, follow up appointments, and ongoing care to make sure they are as healthy as possible.

For that reason, any additional donations may first be used toward Rosco and Otto’s continuing medical needs and recovery. If funds remain beyond what is needed for their care, we plan to use them to support future rescue missions and help other dogs in need.

We will continue sharing updates and being transparent about Rosco and Otto’s progress, their ongoing care, and the other dogs your generosity may help in the future.

My name is Hannah, and I’m raising funds for our two rescue dogs, Otto and Rosco. We’ve only had them for about four months, but they have already become such an important part of our family. Before we brought them home, they came from a deeply neglectful situation where they were not properly cared for. They arrived skinny, scared, and unsure of the world around them. They are only one year old, and when we took them in for their first full vet checkup, we learned heartbreaking news: both Otto and Rosco have cataracts in both eyes and are already losing their sight.

Our vet believes their cataracts are likely connected to the neglect and malnutrition they suffered before we found them or potentially diabetes. The hopeful part is that this is treatable. With cataract surgery, they have a real chance to see again, but it requires a veterinary ophthalmologist and comes with major costs. Donations will go directly toward their surgeries, anesthesia, pre-op testing, and post-op recovery care for both dogs. We are not willing to let Otto and Rosco lose their sight when this is something that can be fixed. If you’re able to help, any donation or share means the world to us.
