My dear friends, David and Sarah, are some of the most compassionate and selfless people you will ever meet. They have spent their entire lives caring for animals of all kinds: dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, fish, rats, spiders, and even raccoons! They foster and rehabilitate animals, giving them a chance at a better life, and some of their rescues are eventually released back into the wild.

David and Sarah dedicate so much of their time, energy, and resources to animals in need that people often say if they were reincarnated, they’d want to come back as one of their pets (I know I've said it.) They give up so much for their animals, always putting their wellbeing first...and their kindness and generosity extend to people as well. They would do anything to help anyone, human or animal.

Now, their beloved dog, Otter, is facing a life-threatening medical emergency. Otter suddenly lost the use of his legs, and the diagnosis points to a serious spinal cord injury. The necessary treatments, including surgery and advanced veterinary care, could cost upwards of $11,000. While David and Sarah have already invested thousands of dollars into Otter’s care, they are now faced with a heartbreaking reality: they cannot afford the remaining bills.

Otter is young, full of life, and a beloved member of their family. Saying goodbye without exploring every option would be devastating—not only for them but for everyone who knows and loves this sweet dog.
