Help Otter Fight Heart Worms

This is Otter and he needs your help! Otter is a 4(ish) year old GOOD BOY that unfortunately tested positive for heart worms today. His previous owners did not want him anymore - unsure of the why, irrelevant - and I took him in as a foster/possible adoptee.

My name is Megan and I’ve been taking in strays and trying to find good homes for them because all of the area shelters are maxed out and unable to accept intakes.

He is up-to-date on shots and today I took him to be neutered and found out he was positive for heart worms.

The treatment is about $1000 up front with several follow up appointments and possibly more meds/treatment. I realize the fires in California and the devastation in North Carolina and other states are major causes that deserve donation, but if you have just five extra bucks to spare, it would go a long way in giving this dog the long, healthy life he deserves! Please help Otter get the care he needs! Invoices for treatment and meds will be posted along with his progress! He can’t start treatment until he’s 100% healed from surgery today and super healthy!
