Hi, my name is Angela and I’m raising funds for my cat Otis. A few days ago, Otis suddenly stopped being able to urinate, which is a life-threatening emergency for male cats. I rushed him to the emergency vet, where they diagnosed him with a urinary blockage caused by crystals. He needed immediate treatment, including a catheter and hospitalization, to save his life. Thankfully, he received treatment and was able to come home, but his recovery has been difficult and stressful for both of us.

Since then, I’ve had to bring Otis back to the vet multiple times because he continues to have urinary issues. He’s been going to the litter box frequently, sometimes with only small amounts of urine and even blood, and he still seems to be in pain. Because everything happened so suddenly, I had to put the entire emergency treatment on my credit card. So far, the veterinary costs have been overwhelming and completely unexpected. Otis means the world to me and seeing him go through this has been heartbreaking. I’m doing everything I can to help him recover, but the financial burden has been very heavy.

Hola, mi nombre es Angela y estoy recaudando fondos para mi gato Otis. Hace unos días, Otis de repente dejó de poder orinar, lo cual es una emergencia que pone en peligro la vida de los gatos machos. Lo llevé de inmediato al veterinario de emergencia, donde le diagnosticaron una obstrucción urinaria causada por cristales. Necesitó tratamiento inmediato, incluyendo la colocación de un catéter y hospitalización, para salvar su vida. Afortunadamente recibió el tratamiento y pudo regresar a casa, pero su recuperación ha sido difícil y muy estresante para ambos.

Desde entonces, he tenido que llevar a Otis de regreso al veterinario varias veces porque continúa teniendo problemas urinarios. Ha estado entrando al arenero con mucha frecuencia, a veces solo haciendo pequeñas cantidades de orina e incluso con sangre, y todavía parece estar con dolor. Como todo ocurrió tan repentinamente, tuve que pagar todo el tratamiento de emergencia con mi tarjeta de crédito. Hasta ahora, los costos veterinarios han sido abrumadores y completamente inesperados. Otis significa el mundo para mí y verlo pasar por esto ha sido muy doloroso. Estoy haciendo todo lo posible para ayudarlo a recuperarse, pero la carga financiera ha sido muy pesada.
