Help Otis (now blind) after dog attack

My name is Zoë and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help. On January 10th my poor baby Otis suffered a devastating injury and had to be rushed to the emergency vet for immediate surgery.

Otis was attacked by a much larger dog, and the injuries he sustained were severe. *Trigger warning* (details of attack) he was attacked/bit on the head. Due to the jaw pressure of the bite, one of his eyes was dislodged from its socket and it had to be surgically removed. He is now blind in his remaining eye.

Seeing him like this and watching him navigate these challenges has been absolutely heartbreaking, but he has shown incredible resilience.

The cost of the surgery, along with his ongoing care and follow-up visits, has left me with a medical bills I cannot afford alone. I’m humbly asking for your help to cover these expenses. The surgery alone was $3,411.88. He also has had multiple follow up vet visits and has met with an ophthalmologist twice. So far the total bills have reached $4,196.73. He will need monthly check ins with the vet as well.

Otis is more than just a pet—he’s family, my baby boy. He’s a sweet angel who doesn’t deserve this. Your generosity will help ensure Otis gets the care he needs to recover comfortably and adjust to this new chapter of his life.
