My little 11 year rescue pup, Otis, is in serious need of dental care. His teeth were in bad shape when I first got him & we’ve been trying to figure out a safe & affordable way to help him. He’s been experiencing more and more pain recently, he has advanced periodontal disease, some of his teeth have fallen out, & an abscess has developed. One of his blood levels showed as above normal which pointed to proof of an infection. If he isn’t fully treated, the bacteria and infection can travel to major organs and cause life threatening complications. He has a surgical appointment scheduled on Friday, January 16th 2026. The vet gave a ball park estimate of $900 out of pocket considering that he’ll need extra care & extractions. I don’t have a savings and I don’t qualify for any credit plans, I plan on using my next paycheck to cover the cost but it will not be enough.
