- UDATE. Otis is home and still not walking. He is having trouble standing and has severe muscle spasms of his legs constantly. He needs blankets, wound care items and pee pads to keep him clean. It has been a very rough road for sweet Otis. He has to go back to Cornell to see if he has a spinal problem. If you would like to purchase items for otis you can go to his Amazon wishlist UPDATE Otis has not been able to stand since surgery so he has to stay at Cornell until he can stand which adds additional cost. Otherwise he is eating and drinking. They are going to try a sling to get him up.
- Hi. My name is Otis. I am 4 months old and was born with a very bad leg. Mom got me as a gift for her and my brother Stuart after she had finished chemo and radiation. I need to go to Cornell University for many surgeries. My mom said it is the only thing that can save my life. I have a lot of pain in my right knee and have to sit down a lot. I can't run because my backwards knees rub. I really want to play with my brother Stuart, but mom says no because she doesn't want me getting hurt and having to go over the rainbow bridge.
Mom comes and sometimes sits next to my pen and feeds me berries. I hear her talk to me and sometimes she cries because my legs rub together when I try to play. Mom is looking for help to pay for my new leg. Please help her. She is a caring, loving mom and she tries to keep me happy. The total cost for multiple surgeries is going to be over $8000.00! Thank you for any donation.
Love, Otis
