Help Otis Fight Cancer: Every Penny Counts
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
As you have all seen from Natalie and I’s social media, our 14 month old puppy Otis that we rescued last year has been at Tufts in north grafton from Thursday the 13th to Tuesday the 18th. This puppy has been the absolute light of our lives the past year, helping us though some difficult losses in the last year alone. Many people who know and love Otis know that he is full of joy, and Know his love for his toys, his barkbox subscription, his moms, and his sisters; Layla and Lexi (who crossed the rainbow bridge in February). Otis presented with some concerning symptoms at our normal vet, and from there they sent him to Tufts. The doctors have tested his bone marrow for cancer and we got the devastating news that all pet owners dread. It was cancer. With this diagnosis, life as we know it has seemingly stopped. Otis will begin chemotherapy and with his diagnosis, they are under the impression he has leukemia or lymphoma, and an aggressive one at that. The broad range of his prognosis with chemo ranges from a few weeks at most to 9 months. We are doing everything we can to help him and he began chemotherapy on June 18th, 2024. Many family and friends have reached out asking if we had a gofundme set up. We wanted to include all the information we can to better inform you all. Thank you so much for all the love, support, calls, texts, and treats you have sent our way. We feel so unbelievably loved during this extremely difficult time. The total here seems large, and unfortunately, we have maxed out Otis’ insurance deductible and 2,500 maximum in the last week alone. The cost of chemo is unbelievable and overwhelming to think about. Any donation you may make would mean the world to us, as we are just trying to give Otis a fighting chance and a comfortable rest of his life. Thank you for all the love that you have shown us all.
All the love,
Natalie, Erica, Otis, and Layla.
