For our mom, feeding others has always been her way of saying you belong, you are loved, you are home. Her table has witnessed laughter, tears wiped away over a small cake, stories shared over late-night coffee, and the quiet peace of simply being together. No one ever left her table hungry, and no one ever left without feeling cared for.

Today, we find ourselves needing to return just a fraction of the care she has given us throughout her life. Our mom has been diagnosed with Stage IV duodenal cancer, a very rare and aggressive form of cancer. The diagnosis was sudden, and the cancer has spread quickly. Despite her incredible strength and courage, doctors have shared that the prognosis is terminal.

She has endured major surgery and several rounds of chemotherapy in the effort to save her life, but none of the treatments have been successful. She is now on hospice care, where a team is working around the clock to keep her as comfortable as possible.

Our mom is not only an amazing mother, but also a loving and devoted grandmother. She adores her grandkids and has always been present in their lives, whether cheering them on, spoiling them with love, and filling their days with warmth and laughter. She has lived a beautiful life filled with simple joys: tending to her garden and flowers, caring for her beloved dogs, and finding beauty in everyday moments.

This has all been incredibly devastating and heartbreaking for our family. Our goal now is to make sure she spends her remaining time surrounded by love, dignity, and peace — without the stress of financial hardship.

We are raising funds to help cover: • Ongoing medical treatment and pain management • Home care and comfort needs • End-of-life planning and arrangements

Our mom has always been strong and independent, and this journey has been so hard on her. We want to do everything we can to ensure her final days are filled with comfort and love.

Para nuestra madre, alimentar y ayudar a los demás siempre ha sido su manera de decir, “perteneces, eres amado, estás en casa.” Su mesa ha visto risas, lágrimas, y historias compartidas con un café de madrugada y la paz silenciosa de simplemente estar juntos. Nadie se iba de su mesa con hambre, y nadie se iba sin sentirse querido.

Ayudar a otros ha sido algo que siempre hizo sin pensarlo dos veces. En muchas ocasiones organizó taquizas y eventos con el fin de recaudar fondos para buenas causas y apoyar a quien lo necesitara.

Hoy, desafortunadamente, somos nosotros quienes nos vemos en la necesidad de pedir ayuda por ella. Nuestra madre ha sido diagnosticada con cáncer en etapa IV que comenzó en el intestino y se ha metastatizado a otros órganos. Es un cáncer muy agresivo, y lamentablemente el diagnóstico es terminal. La enfermedad avanzó rápidamente, y aunque ella ha pasado por unas cirugías mayores y varias rondas de quimioterapia en su lucha, los tratamientos no tuvieron éxito.

Ahora se encuentra bajo cuidados paliativos, donde un equipo médico trabaja día y noche para mantenerla lo más cómoda posible durante esta difícil etapa.

Mi madre siempre ha sido una mujer fuerte, valiente e independiente, y lo sigue demostrando cada día, luchando por quedarse un día más con nosotros.

Además de ser una madre increíble, es una abuela amorosa y presente. Adora a sus nietos, siempre ha estado ahí para ellos, llenándolos de cariño, risas y amor incondicional. Ella ha vivido una vida hermosa, disfrutando de su jardín, sus flores y sus perros. Su corazón generoso ha tocado muchas vidas, y hoy es muy duro ver cómo enfrenta esta enfermedad. Esta situación ha sido devastadora y desgarradora para toda nuestra familia.

Estamos recaudando fondos para ayudar a cubrir: • Gastos médicos y manejo del dolor • Cuidados en casa y necesidades de confort • Planeación de servicios y arreglos funerarios

Queremos asegurarnos de que pueda pasar sus últimos días rodeada de amor, dignidad y paz, sin la preocupación del peso económico.
