Help OSU Students Attend LABash 2025

The future of Landscape Architecture is shaped by passionate students eager to learn, connect, and grow. This year, we have a remarkable opportunity to send 10 students from The Ohio State University’s Knowlton School of Architecture to LABash 2025, a student-led landscape architecture conference held at the University of Guelph, Canada, from March 12th–15th.

Why This Matters

LABash is more than just a conference—it’s a transformative experience. Students will gain valuable networking opportunities, professional connections, and industry insights that will help them excel in their future careers. Attending this event will allow them to engage with leaders in the field, explore new perspectives, and bring fresh ideas back to our university.

To make this possible, we need to raise $8,000—covering $800 per student to help with travel, lodging, and event costs. Your support will directly impact students who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend.

Who Are We?

We are SCASLA—the Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects at Knowlton. Our mission is to connect, inspire, and support students pursuing careers in landscape architecture. Our organization fosters relationships that extend far beyond campus, providing students with meaningful opportunities for professional growth.

Our Recent Achievements

Over the past year, we’ve worked hard to build our program and engage with both our campus and community:

✅ Greenhouse Gallery Pop-Up Shop – Hosted our first-ever event at Atomic on High, showcasing and selling student creations.

✅ Annual Parking Day – Organized an event that transformed urban spaces and promoted landscape design awareness.

✅ Master Gardener’s Bexley Community Garden – Volunteered to support sustainable urban agriculture.

✅ Scioto Sweep River Cleanup – Cleared over 30 bags of trash from the river, demonstrating our commitment to environmental stewardship.

Our Progress & Goals

Last year, we successfully raised $1,200, which allowed us to send two students to LABash 2024 in Davis, California. This year, we aim to send 10 students—expanding access to this invaluable professional experience.

Looking ahead, OSU will host LABash 2025, and sending a strong delegation this year will help us prepare for and elevate next year’s event.
