We are OSU Origins, the newest South Asian Fusion competitive dance team at The Ohio State University. Our enthusiasm for dance and our tireless efforts to perfect our craft have led us to achieve first place at competitions in Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Chicago. Now, we have been invited to compete in Charlotte for this year's national championship.
Our team has put in countless hours of practice to reach this level, but competing comes with significant expenses, including travel, food, props/production, and competition registration. We strive to provide opportunities for as many dancers as possible, but with 33 members on the team, these costs are a financial burden.
To raise funds, we have performed at numerous gigs, sold merchandise, and secured local sponsorships. While this support has been invaluable in helping us attend previous competitions, we need your help to compete one last time this season. Our dancers have worked tirelessly, juggling classes, jobs, and other commitments, sacrificing sleep and time with friends, and even giving up their spring breaks to pursue their dream of winning a national championship.
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to perform on such a prestigious stage and represent our school, community, and love for dance on a national platform. Your support, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. Thank you for your generosity, and we hope to make you proud when we take the stage at Knight Theater in Charlotte, NC on April 15th!
