Oso is a sweet 3-year-old Australian Shepherd who has been diagnosed with an unimaginable 60 brain cysts.
It all began several months ago, when we noticed his left front paw starting to drop. At the end of July, Oso suffered a minor seizure and was rushed to the emergency vet. After running all the standard tests and blood work, the initial thought was that it might have been a muscle spasm. But his balance was still off, so the doctor examined his ear and noticed an unusual shape. She recommended a CT scan.
The next day, Oso had the scan—and that’s when the cysts and lesions around his brain were discovered. We were referred to a neurologist, who ordered an MRI and spinal tap for a clearer picture. The results were devastating: Oso has approximately 60 cysts on his brain.
Right now, both neurologists are unsure of the cause or the best treatment. The next crucial step is a cranial biopsy—but the costs are overwhelming. We need to raise $20,000 to cover the biopsy and his mounting medical bills.
Oso is a beloved family member, and we are doing everything we can to give him a chance. Any unused funds will be donated to a local animal shelter in need.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading Oso’s story and for any support you can give—whether through donations or by sharing his story. Every little bit helps us get closer to giving Oso the care he desperately needs.
We know it’s a big ask but anything you can donate will help us. The bills have been more than we can handle. Thank you.
