Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

My name is Jaryza and I’m writing this with a heavy heart and hopeful spirit. My husband, Osmar , was recently involved in a devastating accident that left him with a traumatic brain injury (TBI). In a single moment, our lives were forever changed.

Osmar is now facing a long, uncertain road to recovery. He has already endured emergency surgeries, multiple days in the ICU, and is now beginning the early stages of rehabilitation. Doctors have told us that with time, care, and intense therapy, he has a chance at regaining many of the abilities the injury has taken from him. But the journey ahead is long—and incredibly costly.

Right now, our biggest focus is on getting him the best possible care. This includes:

• Extensive inpatient rehabilitation

• Occupational, physical, and speech therapy

• Follow-up visits with neurologists and specialists

• Lost wages, as he will be unable to work for the foreseeable future
