Hi, my name is La Rainne and I (along with my co-organizer Mel) am setting up this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Oshiyi. Oshiyi is a chicana transfemme dancer, body worker healer, and movement artist.

I met Oshiyi many years ago when she was my resident at college and since then, I was made aware that she faced a difficult living situation with their family after moving from New York City. Now the circumstances have gotten worse after her abusive and violent parents threw her out on the streets for being trans and disabled. She is currently unhoused and trying to find safety while looking for a job in Houston, TX. In addition to her gift with dance and movement as a healer and educator, she is great at taking care of animals.
