Help Oscar's Journey in DCI with Gold's Drum & Bugle Corps

Hello friends and family, my name is Oscar Hernandez and I have been selected as a member of Gold’s Drum and Bugle Corps for their 2024 summer season. They are an educational program based in San Diego and they provide 80+ days of performing arts in music, marching, and performance. This year’s experience includes 23 performances throughout California and along the Eastern part of the US; we land in Washington DC on July 24th. As part of our Northern CA tour we will be performing in the Stanford Stadium on July 6th and at Sacramento's Capital Classic in Hugh's Stadium on July 7th.

I started playing saxophone in the 4th grade and, along with my concert and jazz experience, I have participated in my high school's River City Regiment Marching Band in West Sacramento along with two seasons with the Sacramento Mandarin’s indoor marching program, Immortal Winds. In addition, as of June 4th, 2024 I have officially completed high school. Through my years in music this has been my dream. All of this time and dedication has given me the opportunity to be one of 160+ performers in Gold's 2024 corps.

To be a part of this experience I need to raise $2,000 to assist in paying for transportation, housing, meals,

equipment, staff & instructional expenses. Any donations will help ensure that not only myself, but the program as well, will be able to have a successful season. I hope you will consider supporting me by participating in Gold's performer sponsorship program (tax write off) or through Go Fund Me which I will use to pay the rest of my tuition and family travel costs. Any amount that is given will be greatly appreciated.
