Oscar is our new family member who has completely stolen our hearts. He’s brought so much joy and love into our lives in such a short time, and we can’t imagine our family without him. Today, while Oscar was playing with his sister Delta, a freak accident happened. As I went to pick him up, Delta got excited and, in the commotion, accidentally stepped on Oscar’s neck and chest. Delta is much bigger, weighing 80 lbs, and Oscar was immediately in distress, rolling away and crying. After a few minutes of monitoring, it was clear he was having trouble breathing, and we rushed him to the hospital.

Oscar is now in the hospital in an oxygen chamber, fighting to recover. The doctors found fluid in his lungs and air around his heart, and his condition is very serious. It’s been a terrifying day for our family, and seeing Oscar in pain is heartbreaking. His medical bills are already significant, and the costs are continuing to rise as he receives the urgent care he needs.
