Help Oscar Ontiveros Get to Mayo Clinic

UPDATE: We currently have an appointment set for Tuesday December 31st at 8:00 am. We will continue to try and get an appointment scheduled sooner.

As for his results from his Kidney Biopsy that was done on Thursday October 31st, the results came back exactly the same as the first one in February. It’s showing the Minimal Change Disease, and the Lupus Nephritis (SLE). So getting Oscar to the Mayo Clinic is very important so we can get better answers and results for his care.

We want to thank each and everyone of you who has currently supported him. We still have a way to go to get the funds needed to get him there. We cannot thank you enough for all of your support.

My name is Sheila McKay. I am setting up a gofundme for my son Oscar Ontiveros. Oscar has had health issues since January 2024 which he has spent many weeks throughout the year in the Covenant Hospital in Lubbock,Texas. We are still trying to find out exactly what is going on and getting a correct diagnosis. In February Oscar had his first Kidney Biopsy done which shown that his severe swelling, pain, fatigue was due to the diagnosis of what’s called Minimal Change Disease and Lupus Nephritis (SLE). He has been put on many different medications which are not working for him. He had lost all function in his kidney’s, which he was then placed on Dialysis. We are looking at getting him into the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona for help. We are asking for any help you may be able to give to help with travel expenses to get him there. We do not have a date just yet, but will update as soon as we know. It is very important that we get him to this Mayo Clinic as soon as we can. He had his second Kidney Biopsy done on Thursday October 31st. We are currently waiting on the results from this biopsy. This has been a very difficult and miserable life he has been having to deal with. Any help is very much appreciated. If you’re not able to help financially, please pray for him.
