My name is Oscar Shetler and I am getting ready to march my third year of DCI with the Sacramento Mandarins.

DCI, or Drum Corps International, is marching music's major league. I will be flying out to California at the end of May to start spring training, where I will spend every day for a month learning and perfecting a marching show. There are around two hundred members, including color guard, brass, and percussion. We have a tour immediately following the end of spring training, which will last until the beginning of August. Every so often, we will be given a free day where we will be taken to a city to be tourists for a day, and we get to forget about the band stuff for a few hours. I will be traveling across the entire country from coast to coast, ending our tour in Indianapolis. This year's fees are $6200, which is quite a bit more than my first two seasons. All donations will go towards my fees for tour, travel, and preparation for tour.
