Our baby Oscar is having some life threatening health issues and we’re seeking help! He just turned 3 and has been a part of our lives for half that time. He came to us with bladder stone issues that were treated and just one year later, he was getting crystal blockages which led to urinary catheters and 5 days straight of vet visits, until they told us he would need to have a PU (perineal urethrostomy) to widen his urethra to hinder further blocks. He received this surgery back in April and healed up well, until recently about 7 weeks later, he started urinating outside the litter box frequently, going 10-15 times in a row clearly in distress. We took him back to an emergency vet and they’ve recommended doing the surgery a second time, this time with CT scans to see where the strictures (narrow passages) are in his urethra and widen them further.
After meds, imaging, catheters, anesthesia, and both surgeries we are in almost $8,000 in debt with vet bills. We are financially devastated even with the lowest monthly payment plans, but putting him down was just not an option when he’s just so young, he’s our whole world.
Every contribution will go directly toward his surgery, medication, and follow-up care. Your support means absolutely everything to us, and helps give Oscar the potential to be his sweet, healthy little self again.
