Oscar is a rescue dog from ACT in Fresno. He was abused and abandoned at a young age. When he was rescued, it was evident that he was scared of the world and especially terrified of men. Oscar spent 5 long years waiting at the shelter for a family to call his own. After numerous hours of driving and meetings, he found his forever home in 2020 with the Wagner’s. He has since been enjoying his life and loving it. Recently, Oscar has been diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease. We are unsure how long Oscar has been dealing with it, but we have been monitoring his condition. Fortunately, his disease may be curable with transsphenoidal hypophysectomy surgery (pituitary gland removal). Currently, we are in contact with Washington State University Veterinary Hospital and are hoping Oscar is a viable candidate for surgery. We will be using any funds raised for his treatment, including surgery, medication, imaging, and pre- and post-op. Oscar has been a savior in our lives and we love him so much. We hope that you are willing to help us cure his condition and extend his life!
