Help Oscar Beat Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
We are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to ask for your support in helping our beloved Oscar in his fight against Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Oscar is a 75-year-old Venezuelan father, grandfather, and friend who has spent most of his life working as an electromechanic to support his family. Despite his years of dedication and hard work, he now finds himself facing a devastating diagnosis and overwhelming medical expenses.
Due to the limited access to affordable healthcare and low income, Oscar’s family is unable to cover the cost of his chemotherapy and necessary treatments.
We are asking for your help to ease this financial burden and give Oscar a real chance at recovery. Every donation—no matter how small—will go directly toward his medical care, medications, and supportive treatments needed for his journey to healing.
Oscar has always been a fighter, and with your help, we believe he can overcome this.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with others who might be able to help.
Together, we can give Oscar the hope and support he needs to keep fighting.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you.

Pielectasia izquierda y quister renal izquierdo Bosniak I.

LET’S HELP OSCAR BEAT CANCER
Who is Oscar?
Mr. Oscar is a 75-year-old Venezuelan who has worked most of his life as an electromechanical technician for various companies in the country. However, due to his current condition, he can no longer practice his profession. I invite you to read and learn about his case, as this journey has not been easy for him or his family.
The Beginning of the Illness
It all started with a mild swelling of some lymph nodes during the first quarter of the year. These gradually increased in size and began to cause discomfort in certain parts of his body.
• April 21: He was taken to a consultation with an oncological surgeon, where he underwent a physical examination, ultrasound, and lab tests. Based on the results, the doctor diagnosed him with Adenomegalic Syndrome (a lymphoproliferative disease), and prescribed 15 days of medical rest.
• April 28: A CT scan of the neck, chest, and abdominopelvic region with double contrast was performed. The diagnostic impression showed multiple enlarged lymph nodes in the described areas of the neck, mediastinum, axillary, and abdominopelvic regions, most forming clusters. The largest were located in the retroperitoneal, iliac, and inguinal regions. Also noted were left-sided pyeloectasia and a Bosniak I left kidney cyst.
• May 9: An excisional biopsy was performed on a superficial left inguinal lymph node for histological and immunohistochemical analysis.
Results and Final Diagnosis
• Biopsy Results (Received May 14): Lymphoproliferative neoplasm.
• Immunohistochemistry Results (Received June 3): Morphological and immunohistochemical findings consistent with Diffuse Large B-Cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
The Month of June…
• June 6: Mr. Oscar attended a referral appointment with an oncology specialist, who reviewed his medical history and all prior test results. On this day, chemotherapy was prescribed to treat his type of cancer (Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma, CD20+). The treatment consists of 8 cycles, each applied over two consecutive days. It is not an easy nor inexpensive process.
• After this consultation, he underwent additional lab tests. On June 12, he returned for a bone marrow sample extraction, which was immediately taken to the lab for analysis. The study is currently in progress.
A Call for Help
The medications required for chemotherapy are extremely expensive, and gathering enough money for even the first cycle has been very difficult for Mr. Oscar and his small family. For this reason, we’ve decided to share his story, in hopes of raising enough funds to begin chemotherapy and complete the required tests throughout the process.
Every little bit counts, and rest assured that the help you provide will be returned to you many times over by God—in blessings and in health.
May God always bless you with health and love in your hearts.
Thank you for reading Mr. Oscar’s story.
Gratefully, from the heart,
The Torres Family.
