My name is Lulu and I have started this GoFundMe page on behalf of my best friend, my sister, Anely, and her husband, Oscar, in the hopes that we can help them as they navigate the most difficult time of their lives. I met Anely when I was 13 years old, one year after I lost my own father to this terrible disease, and I always felt like God and my dad put her in our lives to bring us a magnitude of laughs and happiness because if you know her, that's exactly what she is all about: love and laughter.

On November 16th, Oscar received the devastating diagnosis of Mediastinal B-cell lymphoma. As a proud husband and father of two young children and a man who has always worked tirelessly to provide for his family, this news has turned his world upside down.

Oscar is now facing an overwhelming journey of treatments, appointments, and unexpected medical expenses. While he continues to stay strong for his wife and kids, the financial burden is growing quickly and becoming too heavy for one family to carry alone. If you know the Rico family and Anely in particular, you know she is the first one to help anyone in need however she can. Always ready and willing to give of herself without ever expecting anything in return. That is why we are reaching out to anyone who feels moved to help.
