Help Orphaned Lambs Like Hannah Survive and Thrive

Support Leema Rescue’s Lifesaving Lamb Program

Since 2008, Leema Rescue has saved and rehomed over 400 animals, mostly dogs. But in 2025, we expanded our hearts and our mission—rescuing our very first orphaned lamb. Since then, we've helped over 20 livestock animals, and rehomed 15 lambs into loving pet homes.

Right now, we have four lambs in care, including Minister—a stoic little soul who’s required over $1000 in vet care in a single week.

Our total lamb-related expenses this season have now reached $5001, and with lambing season still underway, we know there are many more vulnerable babies on the way.

✨ Meet Hannah ✨

Hannah was found alone in a paddock—cold, weak, and barely able to stand. Within 8 hours of coming into care, she stopped drinking and was rushed to the vet on Easter Sunday.

She spent nearly a week receiving intramuscular antibiotics and round-the-clock care. On Easter Monday, she stood up by herself—and we cried tears of joy.

Hannah made a full recovery and has since been adopted into a loving home. She’s one of 15 lambs we’ve helped place this season—but many more Hannahs still need us.

What We're Facing

Lambs are fragile and expensive to raise. Many come to us cold, malnourished, or sick. Just one can cost hundreds in formula, vet visits, bedding, and transport.

And there’s more to come—we’re still in lambing season.

To provide the best care possible, we’re building a dedicated Lamb ICU Shed—with power, water, concrete, and safe internal paneling. We still need over $15,000 to complete this vital infrastructure project.
