Siamo Orlando Fernandez Flores e Lucia De Conti, fondatori di Maison 203, una giovane azienda italiana di gioielli contemporanei stampati in 3d.

Da circa 6 anni ci siamo avventurati in questo progetto di sperimentazione della tecnologia 3d sviluppando e inventando un nuovo modo di fare gioiello. Siamo innamorati di ciò che abbiamo creato e del nostro lavoro nonostante sia stato molto difficile proporre al mercato un prodotto così diverso e renderlo la risorsa di sostenimento. Durante questi sei anni sono nati anche i nostri tre figli che hanno sicuramente arricchito la nostra vita e reso il nostro percorso notevolmente più difficile.
La nostra attività dipende principalmente dal nostro negozio a Venezia. Questa magica città ha vissuto un 2019 molto sfortunato con l'eccezionale acqua alta di novembre e da allora non è più riuscita a ripartire, e con essa neanche il nostro negozio. Ora, solo tre mesi dopo quella tragedia, siamo stati colpiti da un’ulteriore catastrofe. L'Italia è infatti uno dei paesi più colpiti dal COVID-19 “CoronaVirus”, e la regione Veneto, dove viviamo e dove sono situati il nostro negozio e la nostra azienda, è una delle aree in cui il virus si è diffuso maggiormente. Siamo ora di fronte ad un'orribile crisi sanitaria e un disastro economico, soprattutto per le piccole imprese come la nostra, che lavorano principalmente con il turismo. Il nostro negozio a Venezia è chiuso da un mese e i nostri distributori hanno annullato gli ordini e ritardato i pagamenti. Malgrado la nostra volontà, non siamo più in grado di lavorare e quindi rispettare tutti gli impegni economici.
Siamo persone positive per natura e siamo convinti che #andràtuttobene. In primo luogo crediamo in ciò che abbiamo creato finora e siamo sicuri che, indipendentemente da quanto siano brutti i tempi, la bellezza e l'arte ci salveranno. La bellezza ha la capacità di attraversare secoli, motivare la coscienza e parlare un linguaggio universale nel tempo. "Il dolore passa, ma la bellezza rimane", diceva Renoir. Noi vogliamo far parte di quella bellezza che dura nel tempo.
Stiamo chiedendo aiuto alla comunità per far sì che la nostra meravigliosa attività possa sopravvivere in questo difficile momento.
Per ora puntiamo a raggiungere un obiettivo di 20.000 euro che ci aiuterà a pagare i nostri dipendenti, fornitori, affitto del negozio e cercare di coprire la perdita causata da questa catastrofe.

Ispirata al nome del virus, la corona è un simbolo di potere conferito, vittoria e gloria. Hello everyone.
We are Orlando Fernandez Flores and Lucia De Conti, founders of a young Italian company of 3d printed contemporary jewelry called Maison 203.

As designers who live for our job, we pioneered into this innovative technology about 6 years ago developing and inventing our means to create a new form of jewelry. It’s been quite a ride to put in the market a product that people have never seen before and to make this a business to live off. In this time our family has also grown and we are now blessed with three kids that surely enriched our existence as well as made our journey tougher to keep up.
Our business mainly depends on our flagship store in Venice. This magical city has lived a very unfortunate 2019 with the exceptional high tide in November and has not been able to rise again since, and with it also our store. Now, only three months after that disaster, we are being attacked by yet another adversity. Italy is in fact one of the countries hit the hardest by the “CoronaVirus” COVID-19, and the Veneto region, where we live and where our store and company are situated, is one of the areas in which the virus has spread the most. This has turned into a horrible health crisis as well as an economical disaster, especially for small businesses like ours, which mainly work with tourism. Our store in Venice has been closed for a month now, and our distributors have cancelled orders and delayed payments. We are unable to keep our business running in any possible way, yet we still have economical commitments to fulfill everyday.
We are positive people by nature, and we want to believe that everything will be fine. Foremost we believe in what we have created so far and are sure that no matter how bad times are, beauty and art will save us. Beauty has the capacity to cross centuries, motivate conscience and speak a universal language through time. “The pain passes, but the beauty remains” as Renoir used to say, and we want to be part of the beauty that long lives.
We are reaching out to the community for help to keep our beautiful business floating. At the moment we are aiming to reach a goal of 20,000 euros which will help us pay our employees, suppliers, rent of the shop and try to cover the loss that this catastrophe has caused.
As a sign of recognition for those willing to donate, we have designed this Corona Brooch. Clearly inspired by the virus name, Corona is the Latin word for crown and symbolizes bestowed power, victory and glory. A symbol to remind us all of this time; a piece of jewelry representing the rebirth of a stronger winning human race.
We believe in mutual help as a way to renaissance. Help our business be a part of this rebirth, for beauty will save the world.
