Orion lived most of his life as a stray on a college campus. When I found him and discovered how sweet and cuddly he was, I just couldn't let him stay on the streets. I took him in and gave him a comfortable life as a snug indoor kitty, and he spends most of his time cuddling on my bed.
A few days ago he started straining to urinate, then stopped urinating entirely. I rushed him to an emergency vet and had him treated for a urinary blockage. This was $900, but I was able to afford it with some help from family. A few days later he was blocked again, which is unfortunately pretty common. This time, the vet bill ended up being $2000, and it's likely that he'll get blocked again and will have to have surgery. I'm a college student and my only source of income is small art commissions- I can't afford these vet bills. Orion is the sweetest cat I've ever known and the thought that I could lose him because I couldn't afford his treatment hurts me more than I can say.
