Hello, my name is Fatima. I'm a young Palestinian woman passionate about Palestine and coffee. I'm a member of SfP and active in our cause, the Palestinian cause. I started my at-home "cafe" in July as a joke after quitting my part-time job. My dream is to create a space where people can connect with each other, share culture, and love. Tabaria cafe is named after the city that my grandparents were forcibly displaced from in Northern Palestine.

Why I'm Fundraising:

I'm fundraising because I want to bring it to life! People want to get in touch with our culture, and we need a safe space where we honor Palestinian culture together and keep it alive despite the occupation.

I want to show that Palestine is not all about suffering; it is my culture and my life. I want to raise awareness about Palestinians in exile, honor the lost lives in Gaza, and create a space where we reconnect with our culture to introduce you to Palestine—a different Palestine than you see in the news.

50% of the profits will be donated to Awni's Palestine Humanitarian Response, and the rest will be saved for future pop-ups.

We will have different corners: a books corner, a henna corner, a tatreez (Palestinian embroidery) corner, a jewelry and merch corner. and in the evening, I will invite Palestinian artists to do live performances: poetry reading, storytelling, spoken-words and musicians, and artists to display their art to our guests.

The Impact of Your Support:

To be able to do the pop-up of my cultural cafe, I need money to rent a place, buy supplies for food, drinks, and our activities. The funds will be used to cover rent expenses, supplies, ingredients, travel expenses, and everything related to the event. Everything will be bought from Palestinian-owned businesses to support them and to collaborate with them to create this space.

50% of the profits will be donated to Awni's Palestine Humanitarian Response. and the rest will be saved for future pop-ups.

مرحبا، اسمي فاطمة، أنا امرأة فلسطينية شابة شغوفة بفلسطين والقهوة. أنا عضو في SfP ونشطة في قضيتنا، القضية الفلسطينية.

لقد بدأت "مقهاي" في المنزل على سبيل المزاح في يوليو بعد أن تركت وظيفتي بدوام جزئي وقمت بشراء ماكينة قهوة. حلمي هو خلق مساحة يتواصل فيها الناس مع بعضهم البعض، ويشاركون الثقافة والحب. سمي مقهى طبريا على اسم المدينة التي نزح منها أجدادي قسرا في شمال فلسطين.

لماذا أقوم بجمع التبرعات؟

أنا أقوم بجمع التبرعات لأنني أريد أن اجلب طبريا إلى الحياة! يريد الناس التواصل مع ثقافتنا، ونحن بحاجة إلى خلق مساحة آمنة حيث نكرم الثقافة الفلسطينية معا، ونبقيها على قيد الحياة على الرغم من الاحتلال الذي يحاول سرقتها.

أريد أن أظهر كيف أن فلسطين ليست معاناة فقط، بل هي ثقافتي وحياتي. أريد ان ازيد الوعي حول الفلسطينيين في المنفى، وتكريم الأرواح المفقودة في غزة وأريد أن أخلق مساحة نعيد فيها الاتصال بثقافتنا. لنقدم لكم فلسطيننا، فلسطين مختلفة عن التي تراها في الأخبار.

سيتم التبرع بنسبة 50٪ من الأرباح للاستجابة الإنسانية لفلسطين لعوني. وسيتم توفير الباقي للفعاليات في المستقبل.

سيكون لدينا زوايا مختلفة: ركن الكتب، وركن الحناء، وركن تطريز، وركن المجوهرات، وركن البضائع، وسأدعو الفنانين الفلسطينيين إلى القيام بأداء حي: قراءة الشعر، والموسيقى، والقصص. والرسامين لعرض فنهم على زوارنا.

لكي أتمكن من اقامة المقهى الثقافي الخاص بي، أحتاج إلى المال لاستئجار مكان، وشراء لوازم الطعام والمشروبات ومستلزمات الأنشطة التي سنقوم بتقديمها.

سيتم استخدام الأموال لتغطية مساحات الإيجار والإمدادات والمكونات وتكاليف السفر وكل ما يتعلق بالحدث

جميع اللوازم سيتم شراها من متاجر فلسطينية، لدعمهم واعطائهم مساحة للنجاح ودعم فلسطين.
