Help OREO keep and regain his Sight

Hi. My name is Oreo and well I'm a little down in the dumps. I had a family and well I hope I lost them and they didn't throw me away. I was found by this Human and his Dad's friends. They made flyers with my pic and put them up everywhere. It's been over 2 weeks and no one has claimed me. Enter Kevin and Zion,they took me to the Vet and had me checked out. They didn't find a microchip but they found some issues. The Vet found that I am totally blind In my Left eye and I'm also going blind in my right!!. Now I'm not sure if I was left by my Previous owners or since I'm getting blind I walked away and got Lost.

But whatever the reason it doesn't matter now. Since I'm between 7 and 8 well that's a guess from the Vet became I have no info,he told them if I was taken to a Pound I might be put down eventually because I'm older and I'm going blind so I might not be adopted.

This Human in the picture with me had water running down his face I think he got something stuck in his eye and his Father was deep in thought. Anyway Kevin and the Vet were deep in Human conversation and after awhile he came back and we all sat in his car and he was talking to Zion and I think Kevin had something in his eye too because water was coming down his face too.

I took a look at the paper work and it said I had cataracts and that surgery would be between 3500 and 4000 per eye. I don't know if they can afford it but he and Zion decided to adopt me. Zion named me Oreo and they are the best. They didn't know me,they had no obligation to even take care of me but they accepted the challenges that will be coming their way.

Now I don't know if I'll get to my goal that I requested but to me it doesn't matter. Just knowing that there are good people out there willing to help even though we aren't related by either race or creed or even species has made me so Happy.

The monies what ever I get will go to my surgery if I can afford it. And to blind proofing his area, I'm looking into eye drops for cataracts and I'm hoping those work.

He's always on his computer thingy looking for ways on how to make my life easier and trying to find out how to handle a blind dog whenever I get blind. I'm not asking you to give alot,I'm not asking you to feel pity for me. They didn't feel pity. They were actually happy. They were happy to find me(they are blessed actually) and I heard the Human called Kevin telling someone Winners never Quit and Quitters never Win!! And he won't bring me to a pound and he won't give me up. Some insect flew into my eyes and mine were leaking water too.

I know this is a long note but I had to tell this story. I had to tell someone how great they are taking care of me and how much love and affection and Patience they are having. I don't know when my sight will be gone in the right but he Said something about a Sight Bucket List so he's taking me all over to show me stuff.
