Hi everyone,

I'm starting this fundraiser for my sweet cat, Oreo, during a really difficult and uncertain time.

Oreo is currently undergoing veterinary evaluation, and her vet is highly suspicious of Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) based on her symptoms and test results. FIP can be very challenging to definitively confirm, but early treatment is critical, which is why we are preparing to begin treatment as soon as possible while continuing to work closely with her vet.

Until recently, FIP was considered fatal, but there is now an antiviral treatment with a strong success rate. Unfortunately, the medication and ongoing veterinary care are very costly and not typically covered by veterinary clinics or pet insurance.

This fundraiser is meant to help cover:

• Potential antiviral medication

• Veterinary visits, diagnostics, and bloodwork

• Supportive medications and treatment supplies

Because the exact diagnosis and treatment needs can vary, this goal is an estimate to help ensure Oreo can receive timely care without delay. I will continue to share updates as we learn more and as treatment begins.
