Hi, my name is Emani Knight and my best friend Orane Rhoden was recently diagnosed with kidney failure. In mid-2022, Orane contracted what he thought was a nasty flu and though he had recovered, he was complaining of constant pain in his abdomen a few months later.

His doctor at the time discovered that Orane was now hypertensive. Upon this discovery, he(the doctor) ordered additional tests. By April 2023, Orane was diagnosed with Kidney failure and both his kidneys were found to be severely damaged. By the end of April 2023, Orane was told that he needed to undergo dialysis once a week with the hope that there would be some improvements and he would be able to stop dialysis.

Unfortunately, Orane's situation continued to worsen and by the end of May, he was doing treatments twice a week. Since then, Orane hasn't been able to work the way he used to as he is frequently away due to treatments. As a result, there is a massive strain on his finances. His medical decline continues as he now experiences difficulty breathing, he cannot walk or stand for long periods and he has completely lost his sense of taste.

Please donate what you can; a little goes a long way. Orane now feels almost hopeless because this is his only choice so my goal is to give my friend some sort of hope and help him get back to who he was before this happened. Please help me do that.
