Hi friends! My name is Jennie Fuentes, and I’m the founder of Tierra y Taza Coffee—a passion project inspired by my family’s love for coffee, storytelling, and community. Growing up, my parents and tias/tios would gather around a pot of coffee, sharing dreams and supporting one another. That tradition shaped me, and now I want to bring that same warmth and connection to my community.

Tierra y Taza is more than just a coffee business—it’s a social enterprise rooted in culture, connection, and impact. As a Latina and woman-owned coffee company, our mission is to create a space where people gather, stories are shared, and every cup makes a difference.

We are committed to:

☕ Honoring Latin American Coffee Culture – Serving organic, Latin-inspired drinks while supporting women coffee farmers across Latin America through sustainable and direct trade partnerships.

☕ Sustainability & Ethical Sourcing – Prioritizing organic, fair-trade, and sustainably sourced ingredients, building relationships that honor both the land and the hands that cultivate it.

☕ Empowering Women & Creating Jobs – Hiring and training women at risk (such as survivors of domestic violence or those transitioning out of homelessness), providing them with stable employment and career development opportunities.

I’m launching Tierra y Taza as a mobile coffee cart—serving high-quality, Latin American-inspired coffee drinks at farmers markets and pop-up events in San Francisco. This is the first step toward opening a brick-and-mortar coffee shop, where we can build a true community gathering space.
