Thrifted Treasure is my dream for Sylvania, GA—a thrift shop built on the belief that everyone and everything deserves a second chance. My own journey has taught me the value of resilience and kindness. There were times when starting over felt impossible, and thrift stores became more than just places to shop—they were a refuge. I’ll never forget the day I walked into a small thrift store with barely enough to buy what I needed for work. The woman behind the counter noticed, smiled, and quietly added a few extra items to my bag. Her simple act of kindness reminded me that generosity doesn’t have to be big to be life-changing. That moment planted a seed in me: one day, I’d open a space like that—a place that feels like hope.

Thrifted Treasure will be more than a store. It will be a local hub for second chances, where affordability meets purpose. I’ll be running the shop with my mother-in-law, Joyce, and my husband, Joe, will be assisting as well. Together, we want to create a warm, inviting space for families and individuals trying to make ends meet, offering high-quality clothing, furniture, and home goods. Community-led donation drives will bring people together, and we plan to partner with local programs to provide essentials to those in recovery, survivors of domestic violence, and families starting over.

Your support will go directly toward building the foundation of Thrifted Treasure: first month’s rent and security deposit for a storefront, business license, permits, insurance, shelving, clothing racks, displays, a POS system, signage, marketing materials, and initial inventory setup through local drives and yard sale finds. I’m ready to put in the work—I just need a little help to bring this dream to life.

This thrift shop isn’t about stuff—it’s about stories. It’s about the mom who can clothe her kids without worry, the young person decorating their first apartment, or someone rebuilding their life after hard times. It’s about giving people back their sense of pride and possibility. I know what it feels like to need a second chance. That’s why Thrifted Treasure isn’t just a business idea—it’s a promise to pay forward the kindness I once received.

Your donation, no matter how small, helps turn this vision into reality. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with others means just as much. Together, we can create something that gives back to our community every single day. Thank you for helping me turn second chances into new beginnings—and for believing that even the smallest treasures can change lives.
