Our Story
Here in the heart of downtown Benson, at 109 Northwest Railroad St, we have been working tirelessly for years to bring a beautiful vision to life: The Grande Magnolia. Our dream has always been to create a welcoming, multi-level destination featuring a Restaurant, Bed & Breakfast, Day Spa, Bar, Lounge, and Event Space all under one roof. We are incredibly proud of the progress we've made so far. If you've visited us on the first floor at Nancy's, you've seen firsthand the heart and soul our team—including Chef Jess, Chef Rae, and Cook Pam—puts into serving this community. We love providing you with great food and a warm atmosphere.
However, the rest of our beautiful building remains closed off.
The Final Hurdle
We have lovingly restored and designed the second and third floors—down to the finest details of wood, steel, and glass—to be a true retreat for travelers and locals alike. Unfortunately, an unexpected and extensive 2.5-year delay with our building's elevator installation has brought our progress to a standstill. Because the elevator serves as a crucial emergency exit for the upper levels, we cannot receive our final Certificate of Occupancy from the inspectors and fire department until it is fully resolved. This means our beautifully finished Bed & Breakfast and Day Spa must remain empty.
We are at the very last step. We have done everything in our power to complete this project, but carrying the costs of a building through a 30-month delay has completely depleted our remaining funds. We are turning to our wonderful community for a helping hand to cross the finish line. We are raising funds strictly to bridge the financial gap caused by these delays so we can finalize the required safety infrastructure and finally open our doors. Your support will allow us to move past this final roadblock and realize our dream of providing the highest level of customer service, exceptional food, and a truly restorative experience for our guests.
