I'm Gabriel, and after nearly 20 years working in tech and corporate, I'm looking forward to expanding my horizons and giving back.

So, I've decided to expand my scope to another one of my passions: Helping cats find forever homes.

I'm working on opening my own cat lounge here in Austin, TX. The lounge will serve as a safe and warm environment for adoptable cats and allow for humans to interact with them. This would alleviate the rescues I work with and allow them to take in additional cats that are at risk of being euthanized due to overcrowded shelters across Texas.

I created this GoFundMe in case people wanted to contribute to my dream.

I've included a link to my business plan to provide full transparency and that showcases my mission statement, vision, and goals for the lounge. I'll also be posting receipts as they come in. Any extra donations will go towards future expenses for cats (food, litter, misc supplies).

There will be a bar where I'll be serving wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks. There will also be a boutique with specially curated items by yours truly to shop from. It will include both human and feline products. I've found that most pet stores don't have a lot of high-quality cat products. It's mostly items for dogs.

The Gilded Whisker will be a cat-forward business.
