Help Open Island Skating Rink & Arcade

Hi! My name is Nickole and I am currently trying to raise funds to open a Roller Skating Rink & Arcade in Queen Annes County, MD. Queen Annes County, MD currently only has very few safe, fun spaces that young adults, teens, and children can go to celebrate their birthdays’, special events or share playtime, games and challenges with other peers. My goal is to open a 90's themed arcade and roller skating rink for all families to come to. Keeping teens and young adults out of trouble by providing them a safe space to come to, to hang out with their friends and surrounding community is a huge part of my mission.

I currently work as an office manager/ accountant for a small plumbing company, as well as an alcoholic beverages inspector. I have also worked in customer service at restaurants and retail stores for many years. I am apart of the Roller Skating Rink Association that gives me access to many resources for this business. I also have my associates degree in accounting and I am a public notary. For the community I coach my daughter's soccer team in the fall, as well as indoor soccer in the winter. I am also the treasurer for the Queen Anne’s County Ravens Nest No. 20. Through this nonprofit charity group we offer scholarships for graduating students. Being a coach and a member of the Ravens Nest I have met a lot of our community members and their children, all of which agree we need a place for our children to go to hang out, have fun, and stay out of trouble.

Opening a safe space for teens and young adults is extremely important to me as our community does not have that currently. The 90's themed skating rink and arcade will take kids back in time! They will have so much fun roller skating, and playing arcade games!!

Opening Island Skating Rink & Arcade will bring fun back into our community! Parents will be worry free as their kids will now have a safe space to go.

This business will also provide more jobs for the community!

I do currently have a full business plan, a space available, a contractor, and a bank interested in helping with a loan. We just need a little more capital to make this all come to fruition!
